- Own production of timely and accurate monthly financial results in compliance with all US and local reporting requirements.
- Lead decision making with strong technical accounting knowledge.
- Develop and quickly execute global standardization initiatives.
- Implement new accounting systems, processes, and requisite internal controls.
- Ensure the performance of key SOX controls and the completeness and accuracy of account reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement focused on scaling the organization through automation to shorten the close cycle, reduce risk and improve decision support.
- Increase staff retention and growth by leading by example, developing competence, and providing career paths.
- Perform other duties as directed.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, required
- CPA or Chartered Accountant required
- 15+ years of experience in large, public, global corporate accounting roles and 4+ years in public accounting
- Excellent technical knowledge of US GAAP and personal interest with respect to matters of accounting and internal control so as to be able to function as a resident accounting and control expert regarding the preparation of financial statements.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary to clearly present key topics to executive leadership (including Chief Accounting Officer , Work Dynamics Global CFO, and WD Global Executive Board members)
- Sarbanes Oxley experience, required
- Major successful leadership roles in financial system optimizations, preferred
- Strongly proficient in Powerpoint and Excel. Experience with Oracle Peoplesoft or other major ERP, required
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated as well as a collaborative team player.
- Successful change management experiences in centralization and efficiency of financial functions.
- Must be highly organized, accurate and detail-oriented, ability to manage numerous deliverables simultaneously with a sense of urgency.
- Leadership skills to drive change confidently, rapidly and effectively; make difficult decisions and operate in ambiguous situations.
