    Junior Finance Specialist

    Location: Warsaw, Poland / Remote work opportunity

    Position Summary

    As a Junior Finance Specialist, you will be responsible for: invoicing, recording expenses, accounting for bank statements and business trips.This role gives financial partnership to management, operation and programs including global teams as well. This position reports to the Head of Finance.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Preparing documentation for payment process and business trip process
  • Entry of accounting data in available systems
  • Archiving of accounting documents including business trip settlements
  • Assisting at financial year closing and at the audit process
  • Issuing invoices
  • Settlement of bank statements from credit cards
  • Accounting verification of documents of partner institutions within grant projects
  • Performance of special administrative tasks indicated by TechSoup

    • Knowledge and skills:

  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with Polish and European accounting norms and laws.
  • Working knowledge of NetSuite would be an asset.
  • Ability to work effectively and with sensitivity across barriers such as language, culture and distance.
  • Diplomacy in communication; tactful in working with representatives of donor agencies, other staff and partners.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • English and Polish working knowledge is required.
