- Develop detailed plant layouts, equipment designs, and piping arrangements using CAD software.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure designs meet the project requirements and safety standards.
- Make, review and analyze process specifications, P&IDs, and equipment datasheets.
- Participate in HAZOP studies and implement inherent safety principles in design solutions.
- Provide on-site support during construction phases to resolve design-related issues
- Provide ongoing support after the initial commissioning to continuously and gradually improve and upgrade the designs
- Contact vendors and contractors to procure equipment and materials as needed.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Remain on top of industry trends, regulations, and best practices
- Integrate with the plant management and provide drawings and data for submission to environmental and construction permits, via a consultancy
- Degree in Petrochemical or Chemical Engineering, mechanical or production/product design of industrial facilities or related field.
- Proven experience in plant design, preferably in the chemical/petrochemical industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
- Understanding of petrochemical processes, equipment, and EU safety standards.
- Goos analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to occasionally travel to construction sites and production plants and work in a field environment.
- Experience with project management is a plus.
- Good knowledge of English.
