    About the Tesco Technology Project

    • Our team is upgrading the technologies utilized to operate our fulfillment network and depot operations.

    About the Role

    • We are revamping the technologies used in our fulfillment network and depot operations.
    • Our focus areas include:
      • Enhancing automation in depots for increased efficiency.
      • Developing advanced applications to assist colleagues in achieving superior business outcomes.

    Requirements

    • 2+ years of Java development experience.
    • Proficiency in Agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.
    • Experience in test-driven development.
    • Designing and developing microservices and REST APIs.
    • Knowledge of Azure or other cloud solutions.
    • Exposure to React.
    • Strong communication skills in English.

    Technology Stack

    • Languages: Java 17, Typescript.
    • Frameworks: Spring Boot, React.
    • Cloud: VMWare Private Cloud, Kubernetes, AKS.
    • Architecture: Microservices, CQRS, Event Driven, Reactive.
    • DB / Cache: Postgre SQL, Couchbase, Redis.
    • Testing: Test Containers, Jest, JUnit.
    • Dev / CD Tools: Git Hub, Github Actions, Jenkins.
    • Monitoring & Alerting: Splunk, New Relic, x Matters.
    • Others: Zendesk & JIRA.

    Additional Info

    • Collaborate with automation providers for improved stock flow optimization in depots.
    • Focus on enhancing automation within depots for greater efficiency.
    • Develop innovative applications supporting colleagues and business growth.
    • Utilize Java for microservices development, React for applications, and REST APIs.
    • Engage in messaging and business analytics using Kafka.
    • Deploy applications on various platforms like AKS, on-premise VMs, and internal Kubernetes.
    • Ensure seamless application deployment and integration.
    • Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and troubleshoot technical automation issues.
