    Your challenge

    The EMEAI Capex Category Specialist is responsible for the strategic sourcing support of capital equipment, labor and spare parts for use in operations facilities. You partner with engineering, operations and business partners to develop and execute long term Procurement strategies aligned with business goals. As EMEAI Capex Category Specialist you will support a Global Procurement Category Leader with supply strategy through market intelligence, sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiation and supplier performance management and report to EMEAI Capex Category Manager.
    You will also support the development of the Procurement deliverables in ADM's global Capital Project Management process to ensure stakeholder engagement on the adoption of FEL (Front End Loading) Capex project execution, data-centered decision making, effective supply decisions and supplier accountability for delivery, quality and service expectations. The EMEAI Capex Category Specialist will prepare non-disclosure agreements, requests for quotes/proposals and agreements specific to Capex. In addition, you will manage supplier relationships with key equipment suppliers to deliver long term value.

    Your role

    -You work closely with internal stakeholders to identify requirements and develop capital equipment sourcing strategies to reduce costs, improve supplier performance, manage demand, and mitigate risk -You ensure strategies remain aligned with business goals over time -You will partner with the Capex Procurement Lead and the project team in implementing the FEL (Front End Loading) process to cross check projects and define the procurement strategy and plan required for efficient execution -You apply your knowledge of market information, internal business objectives and spend to identify strategic options -You prepare and issue requests for quotes, proposals, or information for qualified suppliers -You act as the primary negotiator with suppliers on pricing, terms, quality and service -You ensure the development and implementation of contractual frameworks in close cooperation with the legal department -You document and manage supplier expectations, deliverables and key performance metrics as required -You will work with contractors, engineers, and suppliers to manage contract expectations, delivery, and invoicing to ensure projects are implemented and completed on budget -You manage the development and maintenance of relationships with key suppliers -You ensure the incorporation of e-procurement best practices in all procurement processes

    Your profile
  • 6+ years professional working, 3+ in procurement environment
  • Experience in purchasing of investment projects and commercial knowledge/contract law is a must
  • Experience in food industry is an advantage (, oilseeds)
  • Completed Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree in Business is desired
  • Deep understanding of different contract models and operational experience is an advantage
  • You provide customer oriented solutions with good negotiation skills
  • You have experience in cost/benefit and market analysis and alternative decision making
  • You have a certain IT affinity (eProcurement and P2P systems, standard office suite)
  • You enjoy strategy development and project/task management
  • You have a global awareness of culture, currencies, geography, politics, etc. and are ready for continuous improvement
  • Advanced English, Polish, German is a plus.
  • You are able to influence and achieve results through relationship management and team orientation
  • You are willing to travel (up to 20% of working time)
