    Our payroll team looks after the payroll needs of all Cisco countries across our EMEA region. Payroll Team manages or directly runs the accurate and timely payments for over 13,000 employees in over 60 countries. This gives professionals in the team a chance to gain significant exposure to the payroll practices in many different countries.

    What You'll Do

    Responsible for End-to-End payroll process for Germany in EMEA Central Region in an in-house payroll processing and being responsible for payroll approval in Switzerland outsourced to local vendor. For specific countries you would be assigned to, you will be responsible for:

  • Payroll Data inputs and maintenance
  • Reviewing and controlling payroll processing
  • Processing all payroll related payments to employees, Tax Authorities and Social Security Office
  • Preparation of monthly reporting to the authorities inc. tax and social security
  • Process all payroll related journal entries into the general ledger
  • Compliance & Employee Support
  • Audits support
  • Single point of contact for the business partners (i.e. HR and Finance)
  • Financial Analysis and planning: able to calculate impacts of law changes in term of social security, benefits, tax wages
  • Testing of law changes, updates in SAP system
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in Finance/Accounting field)
  • Ideally at least 3+ years of payroll experience with German payroll or equivalent experience in the areas of customer service, human resources, benefits administration, financial institution, application support or other relevant work experience
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills in English and German
  • Knowledge of labor law and tax law in Germany, monitoring legal changes
  • Advanced level Excel skills including the ability to manipulate data accurately and the ability to create meaningful reports
  • Good To Have / Advantageous

  • Experience at turning raw data into meaningful reports for different audiences
  • Hands-on experience of data entry and data validation with an ability to carry such tasks out with a high level of discipline and accuracy
  • Desired Skills

  • Legislative payroll knowledge for Germany (end-to-end, Tier 1 model) / Switzerland (cooperation with vendor, Tier 2 model)
  • Experience in accounting on basic to intermediate level
  • Experience with systems: ADP GV (SAP), Workday
  • Ability to test SAP system in case of legal changes, process improvement, implementation
