    Rockwool SAP Basis team is part of Digital which is represented in several different countries. You will generally work in Warsaw, Poland, but travel in Europe may occur.

    SAP Basis team is a technical unit that works with SAP basis in various areas, including both on-premises and cloud systems. Currently, we are insourcing all on-premises systems to our own data centres based on HANA DB and Linux, where SAP Basis team is an important cornerstone both now and in the future.

    You will become part of the SAP Basis team in ROCKWOOL Digital, where we handle the daily SAP Basis operation, planning, stable operation and ensure efficient SAP system maintenance and SAP Development in cooperation with the functional SAP areas. The SAP system landscape supports most of ROCKWOOL International's core business processes.

    SAP Basis currently includes 8 employees in several countries, but we are looking for another colleague due to insourcing and thus more SAP tasks.

    What you will be doing

    The SAP Basis job itself contains both independent SAP Basis tasks and tasks in collaboration with our external suppliers. The SAP Basic tasks are varied and include:

  • Handling of service request to SAP systems
  • Collaborate with SAP Applications teams on daily support and projects (60/40)
  • Ensure stable operation of SAP systems through daily proactive maintenance, upgrades and improvement initiatives
  • Plan and coordinate SAP services from SAP
  • SAP archiving
  • Solving errors and problems through incident and problem management via ITSM system
  • Implementation and expansion of SAP cloud solutions
  • In the event of Major incidents in SAP, you become part of the restoration of the productive systems
  • Plan and execute SAP support / maintenance windows
  • Participation in 2nd and 3rd level support and hyper care at go live projects
  • What you bring

    A general IT background with experience in SAP Basic / operations (minimum 2 years) and preferably experience with technical SAP projects.

    We prefer that you have experience with a complex SAP landscape, encompassing several different SAP systems, such as ECC, BI, HANA, EWM, etc.

  • SAP Basis experience at least 2 years
  • Clear communication skills in English
  • Knowledge of HANA DB
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Be able to independently handle tasks from start to finish.
  • Preferably experience with ITIL but not a requirement.
