- Review the current electronic board design considering the current technologies in terms of components, materials & processes, propose ideations to reduce BoM cost and support its lifecycle by redesign & optimization.
- Perform component and product level qualification – Provide change description, develop test plans and instructions to make sure the alternative component(s) will satisfy all requirements and final product performance meets the specification.
- Perform a key role in obsolescence and shortage management. Select components and materials, using appropriate component selection tools and strategies.
- Build and test prototypes, identify issues, and follow up on corrective actions. Using design and validation processes (i.e. functional and automated tests) and tools (i.e. Jira).
- Bachelor's degree in electrical/hardware engineering, or equivalent.
- 3+ years professional experience in electronics product development/validation.
