The Role

We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Accounting & Controlling Manager to lead our financial operations in Poland. This is a pivotal opportunity to build and create processes within our Finance function.

Initially, you will lead the transition of our Polish accounting processes in-house (insourcing), establishing robust local internal controls and building a high-performing team.

As our European operations evolve, this role is designed for rapid growth.

Your remit will expand to oversee additional European legal entities, centralizing accounting operations under your leadership as we optimize our regional finance structure.

Reporting to the regional finance leadership, you will be a key stakeholder in our European integration, based in our hub in Łódź.

How To Make An Impact

Transition Leadership:
Manage the end-to-end migration (insourcing) of accounting processes from external service providers to an internal function.

Team Building:

Manage and mentor a local accounting team tailored to the specific needs of the Polish entity and future European hub.

Accounting Operations:
Oversee all daily operations including AP/AR, GL maintenance, intercompany, and fixed assets, ensuring total accuracy within NetSuite.

Statutory & Tax Compliance:

Lead the preparation of local statutory financial statements under Polish GAAP (UoR) and ensure timely filing of VAT, CIT, JPK, R&D tax, and other local requirements.

Audit Management:

Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, managing the annual statutory audit process for the Polish entity.

Regional Expansion:
Gradually absorb the accounting functions for additional European legal entities, standardizing processes across the region to ensure scalability.

Operational Excellence:

Drive change management by leading the transition of responsibilities from departing European teams into your centralized hub in Łódź.

About You

You are a proactive "builder" who finds joy in creating order from the ground up. You balance a high-level strategic view with a hands-on approach, willing to "roll up your sleeves" during critical transitions. You thrive in fast-paced, ever-changing environments and are comfortable navigating shifting geographical scopes.

As a collaborative leader, you are passionate about mentoring and developing people, regardless of team size.

While you are a technical expert in Polish regulations, you possess a growth mindset and are genuinely excited by the prospect of expanding your influence across international borders.

Your background

Experience: 3 to 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in a senior accounting or finance management role, ideally within an international, fast-paced space.

Technical Expertise:
Proven track record of managing full accounting functions, local statutory audits, and complex tax compliance in Poland.

Systems:
Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP implementation is a significant advantage.

Education & Credentials:
University degree in Finance/Accounting; professional certification (ACCA, CIMA, or KIBR) is highly preferred.

Languages:
Fluency in both Polish and English is required.

This role is based in Łódź, Poland (Hybrid).
