    Role Purpose

    Responsible for the firmware and software development for battery systems with BMS. Providing technical support to other company departments. Develops software solutions to meet cost figures and customer expectations. Workingin close cooperation with the Engineering Managers, to autonomously carry out firmware and software developments tasks with a high degree of professionalism, ensuring accuracy of output, and adherence to required timelines, to create and develop practical, feasible & economical product concepts to meet customer objectives, whilst working closely with the global BMS team to ensure a coordinated and coherent product strategy.

    Responsibilities :

    Firmware and software development for BMS (Battery Management System)

  • Designing and development software architecture
  • Participate in new and/or novel products and technology evaluations.
  • Maintenance and development of software library
  • Support during test and validation activities for new software and whole BMS
  • Preparing technical documentation for developed software
  • Preparing conceptual and project assumptions for new BMS
  • Preparing technical project assumptions regarding to customer, , safety and legal requirements
  • Active participation during new product launch
  • Support test and development activities, including the creation of Design Failure Mode Analyses, Design Validation Plans & Reporting, and specification of, and supervision during product validation testing.
  • Support Sales & Marketing efforts. Participate in visits by, and to the customer and commercial relations as necessary.
  • Submit structured periodical Project Reports to the Engineering Management.
  • To provide Customer and Supplier support activities and provide timely support to Manufacturing and Operations within JMBS.
  • Compliance with requirements of ISO 9001 and other company procedures.

    • Requirements:

  • C/C++
  • Experience in programing ARMs MCU (Coretex M0, M1, M4, M7)
  • Experience in programing communication protocol: I2C, SPI, UART, CAN
  • Code debugging and analysis
  • Programing skills of bare metal app. and with RTOS
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or a related degree with a strong electronics content.
  • Appropriate command of Polish & English, German an advantage.
  • At least 2 years' experience in software system design and development methodologies in an ISO 9001 environment for industrial or automotive electronics.
  • Basic knowledge of PCB design.
  • Competence in schematic and diagram capture.
  • Wireless communication experience as an advantage
  • Knowledge of Li-ion batteries.
  • Experience of safety critical design processes, ideally to ISO26262 or ISO 19695
