Who we are looking for

State Street Bank International GmbH (SSBI) is looking for a Senior Audit Manager, Vice President that will provide leadership in executing the strategy for Corporate Audit's coverage of Finance, Regulatory Reporting, and Global Treasury topics. You will be responsible for maintaining effective partnerships with key senior leaders in the organization and program leadership.

In this role you will report directly Head of Corporate Audit SSBI and interact closely with the global Corporate Audit leadership team as well as build an effective relationship with senior management in SSBI. You will support the annual audit planning and development, risk assessment, scoping and execution of audits related to finance, regulatory reporting, and global treasury processes and risks. In this role you will be part of the Corporate Audit Division, which has currently more than 300 employees worldwide.

The role can be based out of Krakow, Poland and can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

What you will be responsible for

As Senior Audit Manager for Finance, Regulatory Reporting & Global Treasury, Vice President you will

• Support the execution of a risk-focused audit plan, review and approve audit work products to ensure thorough effective coverage and timely and effective escalation of issues and conclusions.
• Influence effective and sustainable improvements to processes and controls through insights gained based on risk and control expertise.
• Champion continuous improvement in audit practices.
• Drive consistent risk assessment and audit coverage approach of finance, regulatory reporting and global treasury related controls across Business Units and Corporate Functions.
• Draft, review, finalize and communicate audit deliverables, including audit findings, memos and audit reports to senior and executive management.
• Participate as a non-voting member of various steering committees, management working groups, promoting balanced discussions and encouraging challenge and debate.
• Provide insight on the evolving regulatory environment and interact with regulators.
• Stay abreast of industry and technical matters and efficiently and effectively apply applicable new developments in audit projects.

• Experience in auditing finance, regulatory reporting and global treasury activities as well as other investment services under the German regulatory requirements.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years Audit experience and/or Public Accounting, Consulting, and/or Finance/ Regulatory Reporting/ Global Treasury operations, in the financial industry. Specific experience in either auditing custody, fund administration, depositary, transfer agent and international audit experience will be an advantage.
• University degree in economics, statistics, business administration or related field.
• Professional audit certifications preferred; a CPA, CIA or CISA. Willingness to continue to learn and grow.
• Proficient or knowledgeable in evaluating and testing internal controls and in applying a risk-based audit approach.
• Experience in data analytics and data visualization.

Additional requirements

While majority of the time you will work from your primary location, some domestic and international travel may be required to a variety of locations where State Street operates.
