    Position Purpose

    NAPA Auto Parts is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Pricing Analyst to join our Pricing team. As a Lead Pricing Analyst, you will play a crucial role in driving the company's pricing strategy by utilizing advanced analytical techniques, developing BI dashboards (PowerBI), and help guide pricing software enhancements to derive actionable insights. Your expertise in pricing analysis and keen understanding of market dynamics will contribute to maximizing profitability while improving competitiveness in the automotive parts industry.

    Knowledge of pricing software includingPROS/PriceFX/Vendavo and BI tools including PowerBI/Tableau/Qlik is a significant advantage for this role.

    Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain pricing models that accurately reflect market dynamics, cost structures, and customer behavior.
  • Develop PowerBI dashboards and reports that communicate pricing performance metrics and trends to key stakeholders.
  • Design prototypes in partnership with BI engineers/developers and analysts, functional leaders, and other key stakeholders in the business
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and interpret pricing-related data, andtranslate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Analyze pricing strategies of competitors to identify opportunities and threats, and make informed pricing recommendations accordingly.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of pricing initiatives, and provide regular updates on pricing performance to management.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of pricing strategies that align with business goals and customer segments.
  • Conduct comprehensive pricing analysis using data from various sources, including sales transactions, market trends, and competitive intelligence.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in pricing analysis, preferably in the automotive, industrial parts distribution, or related industry.
  • Experience utilizing BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to develop insightful visualizations and reports.
  • Proficiency in SQL and/or Python for data extraction, transformation, and analysis, enhancing the ability to derive insights from diverse data sources.
  • Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.
  • Knowledge of pricing software such as PROS or PriceFX is a significant advantage.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manipulate and analyze complex data sets.
  • Solid understanding of pricing methodologies, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
