    Working as part of a cross functional team, you deliver the RDQ activities required to complete Packaging Design and Packaging Deployment for Innovation/Growth projects and productivity projects across multiple geographies with an emphasis on delivering the desired consumer experience.

    How you will contribute

    With the support and guidance of a manager, you will organize and execute projects in line with RDQ, marketing and manufacturing requirements, effectively communicating status and risks. You will plan and conduct activities to generate appropriate packaging information, using sampling and supplier management, and pilot plant and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements. In this role, you will plan and conduct process development activities (e.g. packaging design and specifications, packaging scale up, commissioning etc.) and help with planning and the effective use of resources, including the use of external agencies. You will also create technical reports, which will require your skills in analysis and interpretation of results that will lead to conclusions and recommendations; create and maintain accurate packaging specifications; and create intellectual property to drive our competitive advantage.

    What you will bring

    Responsibilities:

  • Independently plan, lead and manage small to medium approved packaging related projects, requiring varied business interfaces. Projects will be focused on those running at Mondelez plants and third parties supplying Mondelez Europe
  • Forge effective working relationships with internal and external partners/stakeholders
  • Independently investigate pack material issues encountered at plants during day to day business and identify (or facilitate identification of) solutions
  • Plan, organise and execute packaging trials
  • Generate and approve material specifications based on trial work completed
  • Identify, manage and support packaging cost reduction programs
  • Participate in other packaging related initiatives as required
  • Keep up to date with packaging developments within the industry and share within team as appropriate
  • Ensure that all activities are carried out with due regard to Corporate Policies and applicable legislation.
  • Requirements:

  • Bachelor's/Engineer's/Master's degree in science or engineering
  • Relevant technical experience in the field of packaging
  • Relevant experience in FMCG
  • Practical knowledge and experience of a range of packaging materials, processes and manufacturing methods
  • Strong organizing skills and ability to communicate project/task status
  • Ability to build successful relationships with the team, and internal/external stakeholders
  • Excellent oral and written skills - strong proficiency in English (B2/C1) as this is a global position
  • Problem solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail.
