    Role Summary

    This is a highly visible role dedicated to solidifying Heli-One's business around the globe. The Inventory Manager is responsible for optimizing inventory levels worldwide, guiding the strategy for material management, establishing targeted inventory levels, and delivering budget & service level goals & objectives related to inventories as set by the company with a focus on Heli-One's customers and aircraft availability. The inventory manager is accountable to build the action plan, track the variances to the plan, recommend adjustments and drive corrective and preventive action plans to success

    Key Responsibilities

    Inventory Strategy

  • Support and reflect the business objectives of the company
  • Maintain and adjust parts classification and the inventory strategy for each class of parts
  • Establish the inventory pool size for turning inventory
  • Set up the IS parameters to achieve the company inventory goals
  • Inventory Planning

  • Develop fiscal year plan for inventory; beginning / projected ending inventory
  • Create and maintain monthly reporting on actual inventory status
  • Provide guide lines and reporting for the rolling inventory plan
  • Interface with planning, regional supply chains, shops, maintenance and all relevant teams to include the voice of the customer in the inventory strategy
  • Review inventory requirements and inventory pool for customer contracts and tenders
  • Determine and communicate the inventory investment requirements to be included in the commercial bidding process
  • Initiate and lead continuous improvement for planning inventory more efficiently
  • Inventory Optimization

  • Establish recommendations and drive improvements for inventory optimization to facilitate part availabilities
  • Track and report monthly inventory initiatives
  • Identify root cause of inventory variances, provides recommendations and drive resolutions
  • Review critical shortage issues and communicate with category managers for resolution
  • Maintain min/Max settings for Consumables & Rotables
  • Reviews potential surplus inventory monthly, provides recommendations and execute the disposition of the stock
  • Inventory Control

  • Prepare the global inventory count plan
  • Track inventory count, and address the root cause for stock discrepancies
  • Interface with accounting and regional operations to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

    1. EDUCATION:-Master in Supply Chain Management preferred.-Bachelor in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science recommended

    2. EXPERIENCE:-2-5 years in Material Management, Inventory Management, Planning or Supply chain Management preferred.-Aerospace, Aviation maintenance, MRO experience, program oriented supply chain preferred-Full understanding of advanced inventory planning and management techniques-Successful record in Inventory optimization a plus-Experience in working within fast-paced, complex, dynamic, multi-cultural business environment -Usage of Microsoft suite

    3. ERTIFICATIONS/SKILLS: -Strong understanding of supply chain matters, including inventory forecasting and material planning-Ability to program in SQL preferred-Excel advance knowledge (pivot table, formulas, Macros) -APICS certification or equivalent a plus-6-Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification a plus-Basic understanding of finance for business-Proven analytical and quantitative skills -Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills -Ability to meet deadlines, and work with a wide range of sensitive and confidential issues-Must be well organized, yet comfortable in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment.
