For our growing Cost Engineering team, we are currently looking for Cost Engineering Expert, who will be responsible for Product Cost Tracking for development of trucks and modules and product cost optimization during development and entire life cycle.. Our Cost Engineers collaborate with purchasing and R&D for all KION ITS EMEA plants and projects.

Tasks and Qualifications:

You will create a target cost concept in the early development phase together with Project management, Product Management and R&D, based on the predecessor truck but also top down and bottom up analysis together with responsible department

You will work with a product cost database for tracking the product cost of the whole truck

You will be responsible for tracking of product costs during the development phase

You will support R&D concept decisions by cost comparison of the different technical solutions

You will be responsible for pointing out cost deviations to target and previous Milestone status

You will create the Cost Report for the Project Team and for Milestone Meetings

You will lead the Cost Engineering Meeting to show the current cost status and the deviations to Project Lead, Development and Purchasing

You will be the sparring partner of Project management

You will report directly to Product Cost Engineering Lead and support Product Cost Optimization Projects

You will work across locations with different departments such as development, purchasing, production, quality, etc.

What will you need to succeed in the role?

Must-have:

Bachelor or Master's in business, engineering, or equivalent university degree preference is technical background or relevant experience (min. 3 years) in industrial engineering, automotive or supply industry

Very good technical and economic skills

Fluent English

Willing to travel (~40%)

Nice-to-have:

Working knowledge of SAP

Knowledge of German
