- Analyze, test, and implement changes and enhancements to database management software and databases
- Provide complex database changes, support activities, and application implementations
- Design and complete database administration maintenance tasks
- Install, implement, test and tune IMS Database and Transaction manager systems
- Provide Database Administrator (DBA) Support for application developers
- Prepare Disaster Recovery for IMS by maintaining and tuning backup and recovery
- Excels in problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience in IMS

- Experience in tools & techniques to extract and format database data
- Strong skills in relational database technology

Opis
In this role, you'll provide the underlying Mainframe operating system platform programming and IMS database support that forms the backbone of our applications. You'll guide functional objectives on technologies and make use of your expert knowledge to drive solutions to complex problems.
As an expert in this field, you'll also be expected to conduct RCA discussions for the products you work on and provide ongoing technical and operational guidance to lead professional work teams. You may even manage departments on a national or international level, defining objectives and managing resources to ensure the success of your projects.
Responsibilities include database instance tuning, patching and upgrades, managing space, code migration and change controls, schema management, SQL tuning, and application database design support.
