    For our Offshore Execution HSE Advisory department we are seeking an experienced Health Safety Environmental (HSE) Advisor with extensive knowledge of Wind Turbine construction to support the safe execution of our upcoming Offshore Wind Farm Projects.     We are seeking an individual who willproactively support the site management team of our Offshore Wind Turbine Construction projects by providing leadership, promoting responsible attitudes towards HSE, implementing best practice with regards to HSE standards and contributing towards the delivery of the overall HSE strategy.

    The HSE Advisor will interface with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) internal workforce and third-party contractors to ensure that a suitable and sufficient Safe system of work is in place prior to works being undertaken and liaise with site supervisors to monitor that this is adhered to during the execution of works. The HSE Advisor ensures that SGRE and their contractors comply with Environmental, Health and Safety Legislation, SGRE standards, Customer and Site requirements both on and off site.

    Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to

    The primary task of the HSE Advisor is to monitor HSE plan implementation and effectiveness daily, ensuring that SGRE and their contractors effectively plan, execute, and review their work activities from a HSE perspective.

    In this position, you will engage with, and promote the use of Enablon as a reporting tool for safety observations and proactive inspections. You will monitor that safety observation reports are followed up, in conjunction with other stakeholders where appropriate, ensuring proportionate investigation of each occurrence is completed and corrective/preventative actions are effectively implemented where recommended.

    The HSE Advisor will coordinate with action owners to achieve timely close out of Corrective and Preventive actions (CAPAs), and carry out analysis of safety observations, actioning any identified trends through awareness schemes or other appropriate actions.

    The HSE Advisor will also:

  • Participate in planning/coordination meetings to ensure works are safely interfaced with other operations on the site.
  • Communicate HSE focus topics from within the general SGRE business to all stakeholders on the worksite.
  • Perform frequent site safety walks and formalized inspections
  • Communicate and collaborate with technical functions and other HSE team members across the business to share learning and develop best practice.
  • Participate in HSE audits and assessments, both internal and external.
  • What you need to make a difference

    Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are looking for a person who has a recognized HSE qualification. E.g. National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) International General Certificate combined with least 2 years of experience as a HSE Professional in the field of Wind Turbine Construction or maintenance.

    A higher-level professional HSE qualification (e.g. Degree or postgraduate diploma) is desired.

    We are seeking an individual who can work as part of a cross-functional team and be a self-starter with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. You will have high capability with MS office and cloud-based software.

    The position is field-based and will encompass rotation-based shifts. International travel will be required, and a full category B (car) driver's license is mandatory.

    The role will require applicants to be fit to work Offshore and to be comfortable with working at height.
