Opis

Responsibilities:

• Postgre SQL Database Administration at Expert Level with knowledge of shell scripting
• Adhering to SLAs and supporting team members in case of Issues/Technical Problems
• Handling tickets/requests and troubleshooting technical issues
• Ensuring processes adherence and successful completion of Installation, configuration, and migration
• Ensuring maximum uptime as per SLA
• Implementing new technologies and design changes
• Building, managing, and maintaining Postgre SQL database servers in all environments
• Designing and implementing redundancy and fail-over strategies

Skills Required:

• Enterprise DB Failover cluster and high availability technologies
• Real scenario disaster recovery planning, testing, and documentation
• Experience with PAM authentication and role-based permission enforcement
• Configuration management using puppet or ansible
• Security hardening at OS and Database Instance layer
• Data encryption at Rest and during transition
• Backup/restoration strategies per data retention requirements
• Disaster scenarios definition, testing, and documentation
• Support for software upgrade and patching; ability to automate patching
• Diagnosing and resolving production issues, providing insight to team leadership on best practices
• Development experience with modern scripting/automation languages (Ansible, Shell, etc.)
• Experience with database performance, scaling, clustering, and tuning concepts
• Ability to quickly learn new database technologies
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, facilitation, and prioritization skills
• Technical acumen ensuring technical solutions deliver business and customer value

Additional Requirements:

• Excellent communication and conversation skills (Verbal and Written)
• Good documentation skills and MS OFFICE knowledge
• Customer handling skill and ability to manage unforeseen situations
• High level of acceptance, driving HCL's values and methodology
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence; Change Management/Incident Management knowledge
• Experience in database migration, upgrade, and transformation
