- Solid 5+ years experience working with SAS as a Developer and as an Admin.
- Proficiency in Base SAS & SAS Macro language.
- Enhancement and/or code changes of the SAS programs, based on the requirements (incidents, change requests, development projects).
- Optimization / Performance improvement on the SAS applications.
- Experience in project work on complex systems.
- Proficiency in operating SAS on Windows & Linux platforms with administrator experience.
- Very good English both spoken and written.
- Knowledge of MSSQL, Mainframe, SAS SPD.
- Experience with BAU tasks, incident management under SLA.
- Accustomed to project work, must be able to approach a loosely defined project in a self driven, pragmatic and independent way, taking responsibility for scoping and refinement.
- Experience working with business and system owners and stakeholders
- Experienced with legacy systems and late stages of life cycle management ; experience with decommissioning of legacy ssystems
- Experience with Jira and basic project management skills.

We are looking for self-driven Senior SAS Developer with a willingness to work partly as an admin (maintaining older platforms in a very small percentage) + mostly working with new development.
The client has recently introduced a modern cloud-based data- and BI platform and is in a transition/migration phase migrating existing and new business onto the modern, strategic platform. But during a transition period, many business units and domains are still relying on legacy data- and BI platforms for business-critical solutions.
The candidate will join the operations team responsible for the operations, incident handling and development/maintenance of the legacy platforms.
The candidate will focus on SAS systems, but will work closely with a sister team responsible for MS SQL and MS BI stack.
